went to midvalley for the graduate career fair. not too bad i guess. dropped my resume to Scomi and also Aker Solutions. went over to Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) booth to ask about the masters programme.
They're offering 2 types of MSc; one by coursework and another is by research. The one by coursework is slightly (okay tipu) sgt expensive, 60 000 bucks for 18 months and the MSc in research is only around 20 000 bucks. But they also offer this Graduate Assistantship Scheme whereby they would pay me around 2000 bucks every month, i don't need to pay the tuition fees but i have to allocate 13 hours per week to UTP.
hmm. interesting ey. anyway the course i'm applying in UTP is MSc in Petroleum Engineering.
now i just have to know what does UTM offer pulak. apparently in Malaysia, only UTP and UTM have this particular course. sigh sigh.
but then again, i reeeeeally need to think reaaaaally carefully about this. there are a lot of things to be considered. financially lagi. transportation. accomodation and what not.
and now currently i'm looking for any sponsorship to support me in doing my masters, the one yg coursework la kan.
but when i talked to the girl in the UTP booth tu, the research pun not too bad also. like right now, they're focusing more towards to oil recovery in the reservoir. like for those yg takde idea about the reservoir, usually they won't keluarkan the whole portion of the crude inside the reservoir. the percentage yg dibawa keluar i'm not too sure, bt mmg tak banyak lah. and now they're doing some research on how to optimize the pengeluaran of the crude oil. sounds interesting ey? tell me about it. :)
so now i'm applying for both. and sambil mencari sponsorship. haha.
told mom about it. i guess now she can see the effort and how i really would like to further my studies. (yeay for that!) its only a matter of the money je now. sigh.
later after midvalley, we went to kuala selangor. tengok kelip kelip aka kunang kunang. lawa jugak. but banyak nyamuk! :)
hmm, can't stop thinking about the masters programme. i need to find out about the masters programme in UTM pulak. hmmmm.

dont go to scomi. my cousin is working there and about to leave. i heard scomi mcm tgh problematic, esp when pak lah is stepping down as PM. kate company anak dia kan...

scomi jgn la..takyah amik kira the political situation and what not, but the way they treat their employees pun not really good.
