E-Day

Engagement review time! :)

Makeup: Farah from The Makeup Parlour, they are affordable and i really like their make up! Funny thing about Farah and I, apparently we have mutual friends! And she's from Alor Star as well so she kinda knows Adam. Kecik sangat dunia ni and we ended up being friends now. Such a nice lady, very friendly and talented and soooo comfortable to be with. We laughed the whole time during the make up session. Mom likes her too. And I've already asked her to do my make up for my wedding. :) yay!

Hantaran: was done by mom. I super love the hantaran she did. Really! I let her decide how she wants to decorate it, but I super love the outcome! I wanted something simple and she did just that! Can't wait to see what my mom will do for my wedding hantaran next.

Pelamin: was done by mom, Wanchu and Ayah Jor. Could never thank them enough. Initially I didn't want any pelamin, but mom insisted on one so again I let her decide. Flower arrangement was done by Wanchu. The choice of flowers also was done by her. So so cantik! Simple yet classy.

Catering: we hired Tasty Touch Fingers Food Catering. Quite cheap and tasty food. But their after service is so horrible! Omg! Definitely the first and the last time!
For apam polkadot, I ordered from a friend of a friend, very lovely and friendly lady.
For cake, I ordered Pecan Praline Cheesecake from this online shop called 4cakesinacup, super duper love the cake! So sedap!
Kuih muih from the usual my little cake shop at Pasar Besar Ttdi.

Engagement dress: cheap materials (like super cheap, haha!) from Kamdar, tailoring at Aw Yong Tailor at SS14 and beading works at Tyra Mei at Amcorp Mall. Super love the beadings!

For our hantaran, we decided to give each other only the necessities, so he gave me materials for solemnization attire, perfume, cupcakes, ring and a necklace and sirih junjung. From me to him; sirih junjung, nougats, perfume, cupcakes, fruits, material from solemnization and bunga rampai.

I was super nervous that day. I can still remember while they're discussing the deets, I was literally restless in the room while waiting for them to call me out.

It was simple and a very intimate event but I'm happy because I have all my good friends with me, the usuals, noe and syuk and of course all my relatives too. Alhamdulillah. Pictures below are courtesy of Adam's sister.

The only thing i bought from here is from La Senza.

Quite not bad, just that I just bought my hantaran stuff sooooo yeah quite broke to shop around. But a pity the Ferragamo outlet, they don't have the Vara/ Varina flats.

Saaaaad.

But fun trip nevertheless.

Wan - Married!

Wan is married!

It's a surreal feeling watching your very good friend tie the knot. I was very emotional during the solemnization (and secretly imagining how mine would be) especially when Wan hugged his mom right after the lafaz. :'(

Wan and I have gone through so much together. I met him in matrix, where we were in the same tutorial class, in UiTM ; same course same class and we hang out a lot after we both started working. So you could imagine how happy I was for him. :)

W - Ring

So last week we went to see the progress of the W ring, unfortunately it didnt turn out like how we wanted. Geram gila when i specifically told them how i want it to be. Asked them to change it again, so let's see how it turns out at the 2nd fitting.

And please don't compare between your preparations and other people's preparations. Lain orang lain taste lain style. Kinda pissed with a friend of mine who keeps on comparing and macam nak lawan who buy what first. Sheeesh!

But then again, she's always like that so i told Adam not to tell her anything about our preparations. Haha! Kelakar je orang skrg ni. -______-

Being in this house stresses me out sometimes, oh wait almost all the time. Unfortunately this house is never a home. Just a house.

Can't wait to move out!

So long little blue birdie!

Deactivated my twitter account earlier today. Felt that it's too much already somehow. It felt liberating actually, and i think adam is quite happy that i no longer check my phone constantly.

I think i miss it already. Especially when i felt like asking people or saying things. But i guess it's one of those times that i need to have a break from all this social media. Day 1 success! Let's see how long can i last without twitter. :)

I keep my paint brush with me

Positivity

So, been feeling angry towards almost everyone now. Just figure I need to write something positive that happened in my life, hmm let's see. 

Oh! We bought my wedding ring already! Alhamdulillah I think Adam is tired with the constant in and out from D&P and the rest. Lols. We got ours at.... SECRET! You'll know on the day itself. I have a certain design in mind so it's quite difficult for me to find it, except in Le Lumière but unfortunately it is waaay over our budget so cari cari cari, one day while we were walking around in ***, we went into this shop and the rest was history. :D 

Had fatty crab last week with Adam, Abg Yeen, Ines and Min. Super love their kuah! I ate only 1 ketam and seriously lots and lots of roti cicah the hot sauce. Thank god tak sakit perut. Lols. 

Thought of sharing pics from the engagement and probably due a review on the vendor(s) and all. But I guess that can wait cause I am too lazy to get my hdd. 

My good friend is getting married this 16th Sept, yay! I'm so happy for him. Truly. And two in November. Both good friends of mine, and all guys (Wan Kamarul, Arab and Boon). 

That's it...?!

I have a boring life I know I know.

I can't elaborate much on the wedding preparation since there's nothing to elaborate on. Zero preparation. Really. I have an idea in mind and mom seems okay with it (thank god, it's reaaaaally difficult for me to tell her my ideas cause everything pun nak reject. I'd like to think myself as the modern couple who wants modern things. Like how I thought of getting Adam the Nescafe Dolce Gusto cause I THINK we should put things we're gonna use but I have a feeling mom is gonna say no. Or my ideas of Star Wars theme for his hantaran cause it's his favourite.)

Next month, I will see my designer to discuss about THE DRESS! Aaaaah can't wait for that. The two biggest concern which are dais and catering, we have yet to discuss and see the people and discuss about it. Which is somehow a bit frustrating cause I want things over and done already! 

Although the BIGGEST WORRY is.... naturally my wali. 

Haih this one makes me feel so stressed out and haih no words can describe my feelings towards this issue. 

I shall leave it to God to decide whichever is best for me. Semoga Allah permudahkan. Amin Amin.  People say niat yang baik selalu akan dimudahkan kan? Hopefully. Amin.

Okay enough rambling for tonight, positivity always peeps! Negative mind sucks the energy out of you.
