I’m sure all of you have heard about this. Widely circulated in Facebook, one can’t help but to listen to the conversation between the DJ, the girl and the girl’s fiancé.
When I first heard it, I was amazed and shocked at the girl for being so brave, rude and arrogant too if I may add, knowing that it is being aired live for all to listen. If you don’t know what is it about, it is a about the girl who wanted to break things off with the fiancé, for the fiancé is poor and she has found another guy that is good looking, rich and bought her shoes and handbags.
The fiancé sells burger for a living for your information.
One would think, a burger seller can easily get a profit of 1k a night. More or less. I would think so actually. But, she wanted more. She wants a car, not a lorry. She wanted to feel secure, to have a good future and she don’t think that a burger seller could provide all that to her.
At one point, I tend to agree with her. I remember going out when I was in primary, RM50 is like RM1000 to me. I can do so much with that RM50. But now, RM50 is just like RM1. Even if you buy toiletries also, it would cost you at least RM30 or more. So I can relate with her fear of living a hard life after marriage, the uncertainty of everything.
But then again, in the first place, why get engaged if you know there’s no future? That puzzles me actually. Yes, she did say he was persistence and was willing to improve himself. But to be engaged is a big deal. You promised yourself to your man. It means that you’ve done your research, you’ve accepted the fact and you’re willing to go through anything, despite being poor or rich with the guy you’re engaged to.
But then again, we’re not in her shoes. So obviously we can’t say much. Only she knows what’s best for herself, or so she thinks.
But I really pitied the guy. I guess God has better plans for him. So Good Luck Samad!
